Barin Sports

Can artificial intelligence intervene in football and make players more effective? The answer is positive. In the incubator of Sofia Tech Park, a Bulgarian company created a high-tech device showing the condition and performance of the athletes on the field. Thus, coaches can monitor their vital parameters and create winning strategies. “Professional athletes load their bodies beyond the limit. They should be helped to find out where it is”, says Daniel Shopov, Business Development Director of Barin Sports. The team of young Bulgarian innovators believes that with the help of high technologies it is possible to avoid many injuries and accidents in sports.

The system consists of a device that is placed on the player’s back and a base station collecting the data - over 12 thousand points every second. The indicators are processed in real time and inform the coach about the physical condition of the athlete and his behavior on the field.

Currently, Barin Sports works with six teams from the Professional Football League in our country and three academies. Clubs from the United Arab Emirates and three other countries train under the innovative system.

The participation of the Capital Investment Fund from the BDB Group also contributes to the development of new technologies and faster international expansion of the company.

“Barin Sports” is also considering the development of products to increase the quality and longevity of life through smart sensors and flexible electronics embedded deep into the textile. “The technologies that we have developed give us the prospect of rapid growth in the next few years with the support of the Capital Investment Fund”, people from the company said categorically, whose brand has been taken care of by the English football legend Michael Owen in the last year.
